PMDD & Menopause

OK, I'm a new member...my concern is that I have PMDD, and am approaching middle age. What can I look forward to when I enter menopause? Will it be more extreme because of my PMDD or will I finally get relief? Or both/none of the above?

Does anyone alternate/change doses of Sarafem throughout the month for PMDD?

Untreated, PMDD has the potential to destroy lives and relationships--I know this to be true. Had I not recently, and finally, found a woman doctor who prescribed Sarafem/prozac for severe PMDD (complicated by perimenopause--ugh!), I would probably be in divorce court. I hate my behavior during the 2-weeks of living hell and as I approached menopause, things were getting much worse. I have been on 10 mg of sarafem daily for 4 months now, and notice that the meds do not seem to be working quite as well during the 2-week PMDD timeframe.

I just had "Her Option" cryo ablation of my endometrial lining four days ago for heavy bleeding, cramps, anemia with my periods. I'd like to know if there are any other ladies out there who have had this procedure and their experience. Didi it work for you? Did it help with PMS too?

I just wanted to say that I am a new member here. I deal with PMDD every month and it is realy bad the concentration is gone and my moods are all out of whack. I hope I can get some information about PMDD and also I use birth control to help with that time of month. I am taking prozac every day for the moods and it seems to help alot.
