  I have trouble explaing to my wife, who by the way is a RN about how it is affecting me. When I tell her I am having a flare or that I am exhausted, she has nothing to say.

  

  I have been diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis and am not sure how to speak to my wife about it.

  Wow I am having nearly the same condition. My feet, legs, and knees hurt all the time. But it is worse in the morning, and I am stiff as a board when I get out of bed.

  

  My feet, legs, and joints are stiff in the morning why?

  MESSAGE TO EmpowHER: I am writing this to whoever is reading information sent asking for help in dealing with an illness that has gone on for a decade.

  Do you have rheumatoid arthritis and get flares that make it impossible to move the affected limb due to pain ? I not only have severe RA but four other forms.

  

  Do you have Rheumatoid Arthritis ? That causes unbearable pain .

  I have had a really hard time at work over the last year remembering details and have become extremely absent-minded. Is this a side effect of the Plaquenil, or is it a symptom of the RA?

  

  Since being diagnosed with RA, I have trouble concentrating and remembering things. Is this normal and to what extent will it become debilitating?

  I'm told no alcohol while on methotrexate. How strict is this? As long I I have my liver funtion tested periodically isn't it safe. I can't imagine that permanent damage qould occur within one month of having drinks one day a week. anyone have insite?

  Not interested in any of the current allopathic treatments that I cannot take because of my medical history nor would I take even if I had no medical history.

  

  Interested if anyone has found a therapy that will reverse the immune dysfunction that causes RA.
