Breast Augmentation Surgery

There are a few different ways to perform the plastic surgery procedure of breast augmentation. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Lawrence Shaw prefers to use the transaxillary approach. In this plastic surgery procedure, the breast implant is inserted under the muscle, through a small incision. The upper part of the breast implant will be under the muscle and the lower part is over it. This will give a more natural look and shape.

"Dr. Shaw is a double-boarded Plastic Surgeon, which required 7 years of surgical training alone. Since completing his plastic surgery residency training at the Phoenix Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency in 1986, Dr. Shaw has performed thousands of plastic surgery operations. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify doctors in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Shaw is also certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of regional and national medical societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and he American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery."

This is so interesting. I have been considering getting implants, and was really ignorant to how it was actually done. I think I'm going to do a little more research before I go through with the surgery.
