Master ceramist Jason J. Kim explains why some people are embarrassed about their veneers.
Jason J. Kim, C.D.T.:
I think many, many years the audiences, people prefer the white, whiter teeth. They thought this was good and then all the media drove in a way that how they sort of paint on to managing picture that make the model that had the whiter teeth and all that and those are not realistic?
In fact the people bought that and then they are wanting to have something like that, very white and chalky teeth. And then when they had it on, they thought it was good but in the real life, because it’s a lack of naturalness, so it doesn’t really fit into the society of a natural environment because they are not the movie star, they are not the model.
So what happens is they were sort of embarrassed in a way and all of this, all of those teeth had to be redone in a way to make it into right way. I think it was a bad choice of certain media and just the people’s desire to have it and then certainly some of the dentist and some of the poor skill of the ceramist provided it. So, that’s what happened.
