Why Do Many Women Live Silently With Depression? - Psychotherapist Carole Klein (VIDEO)

Carole Klein:

Well I think that women think that depression is something that they should be embarrassed about. But in reality, I don’t think that one person in this world has ever not gone through periods of depression and anxiety in their life. We get down about things or we get fearful about things and that’s just normal. So anxiety and depression are as normal as love and joy and fun and all the other things that we expose ourselves to.

But when people think that depression is not normal or that they should always be up, they tend not to talk about it or think about it or like to hide it.
