Dr. Hilkovitz shares the risk factors involved when diabetic women each potato chips.

Dr. Hilkovitz:
Well, first of all potato chips have a lot of salt in them so that will contribute to the high blood pressure. Potato chips are dipped in fat, so the fat intake is too high, and that increases the cholesterol pool, and then it's full of carbs because it's potato and that raises the sugar. So there are three different ways that it hurts.

He is a former Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Hilkovitz was born and educated in South Africa and also engaged in academia in London, England and the United States.
