The first time we went into treatment we just did it to get our families off our backs. His family had kind of basically made us sign power of attorney over to them and so we thought, okay, let’s just do this so we can get out, get our money back and do what we need to do, and so we just kind of skated through it.

Got out, families believed us because we were really good at lying at that point, and we were back in treatment within about six weeks again. And this time it was the worst. We had been, we were doing a lot of heroin, but we were also smoking a lot of cocaine, and there were times that I didn’t bathe and eating was not an option, and that would be days.
