NextCare recommends that patients get their flu shots in October or November of this year, but you can still get vaccinated in December and later. Flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Cutting down on wait time in lobbies and ensuring quick patient care, NextCare now offers WAHOO, (Wait at Home or Office) http://www.nextcare.com/Services/WAHOOWaitAtHomeOrOffice/tabid/216/Default.aspx permitting patients to wait at a location convenient to them until an exam room is available at the patients preferred NextCare clinic location.

Each year, over 200,000 people are hospitalized and nearly 36,000 people die as a result of the flu, a respiratory infection caused by viruses.
