Dr. Clark provides advice for women who think they are abnormal due to sexual dysfunctions.

Dr. Clark:
Well, I do try, I listen to what her description is and then I often normalize it, or address the myth that she is having, or the fear that she has around someone else’s perception of what’s normal and, I had a 19-year-old young woman, a couple came in and they had been together just about three months and she was concerned because he had told her, he was about 23 or so, he had more sexual partners, but he told her that his prior partner had ejaculated like across the room and so she was very concerned that she did not have ejaculate and, you know, that was visible, or at all she figured. So this was something abnormal about her.

And so, you know, certainly I acknowledge that females do ejaculate, whether all of them do or not I don’t think, the jury is still out, but the fact is that it does happen but it does not have to be prolific or across the room or, you know, so to normalize that and to take the myth out of that information and also to, yeah, to address his powerful interaction that he had with her or that apparent mastery of his sexuality or what she was supposed to be doing; so, to address that.
