Phoenix Mercury strength & conditioning coach Ben Hadley shares how often a woman should exercise her abs.

Ben Hadley:
The ab muscles consist of the rectus abdominus, internal and external obliques, and the transverse abdominal muscles. A lot of times people ask how often they should work their abs out. Again, the abs, like any other muscle, can be worked out frequently or infrequently depending on the intensity High intensity workouts should be done less frequently.

The abs though are, like we talked about, are a support structure for your posture and for your core. So it’s important to have high endurance in your abs. If you are working for endurance you should do high repetitions and work frequently.
