I've been suffering from recurring abdominal pain for three years. The pain is in my lower abdomen, just left of center. It comes and goes, but is a sharp, horrible pain that usually lasts for about a week. Other symptoms include bad inflammation (feels like intestinal inflammation). The pain is very localized; it feels like something is there in that particular spot, and is very tender when pressed on. The source is yet to be determined. It was incorrectly diagnosed by an incompetent doctor three years ago as a "colon virus," which I found out later does not exist. I saw a dismissive GI Doc who sent me to my Gynecologist. Thinking that the problem was an unresolved cyst on my ovary, my Gynecologist removed one ovary and tube, which didn't fix the problem. I believe that I have now found a good GI Doc, who first did a CT scan (which came back normal) and will soon do a Colonoscopy to try to determine the source of the pain. Anyone else have undiagnosed abdominal pain, or have you had these symptoms and actually been diagnosed with something? It's to the point where I want them to find SOMETHING just to prove I'm not just crazy! Anyone feel this way?
