my last period was march 9, 2011 and i had sex that following sunday. we used a condom, but alas, it slipped off (he didn't pull out before we went soft) in about the last week i have been feeling continuously more bloated everyday and have had slight "cramps". they haven't been normal period cramps, they're more just pressure and i'll get a slight twinge occasionally. my breasts have also been sore and swollen and i've been tired and nauseous (no actual throwing up thank god) for the last few days too. Smells also seem to be more apparent to me. I haven't been able to even finish a whole beer without feeling like i wanted to throw up (so i gave up after trying lol). I'm just getting more and more worried that i may be pregnant, and I'm just wanting to get some advice. I normally have a short cycle (around 21 or 22 days) and found out that i probably was ovulating during that time we had sex, I also know that to this day it is still too early for a pregnancy test to be accurate so I'm planning to wait till april 1, 2011. I'm just stressed and anything from anyone would be very very welcome. Thank you ahead of time!

The stress would be my best bet if it does come out neg. cause i've lost weight lately, but it's been over the last year, could that affect it even though it hasn't been anything drastic? And the stress has been around years, but i've actually felt a lot less stressed lately...

menopause definately isn't a worry as i just turned 22. and i am overweight, but that has never affected my periods before. they are always right on time within a day or two. the only other time i've had one be super late was when i was like 14 and my cycle definately hadn't regulated it's self yet by that point. i guess it's just more waiting for me...cause i'm now at 10 days being late. but i'm hoping that i find something out without going to the dr as i don't have insurance and it would be way to much, so that's pretty much the last thing i want to have to do right now. at least if i find out i'm pregnant i'd be able to get medacaid or whatever it's called. i know i'm a lil stressed over all this, but i've been so much more stressed before and that's never made me late, so i don't think it's that. sorry to post so much, my mind just keeps adding more thoughts...

Still no period, or sign of. If it doesn't come by the beginning of next week I'm going to take another test and reguardless of what it says I'm going to go to the dr. if nothing else to find out why my period hasn't shown up yet...So I'm still just playin the waiting game, but I'll keep you updated whenever I know something.

well took a test and it came up neg, but still no sign of my period, so I guess I'm back to waiting a few more days and seeing what happens...

Hi Whenpigsfly,
You are certainly experiencing the classic pregnancy symptoms and there is certainly a possibility that you are indeed pregnant. Unfortunately, the time old tradition of waiting is the only way you will know if you are pregnant since pre-menstrual symptoms often mimic pregnancy symptoms. You are almost to your deadline, hang in there and let us know about the results.

Oh, and my breasts have never bothered be before a period, atleast to this extent to where i notice it. nor do i get THIS bloated...

Stress is just something I wake up expecting, and go to sleep knowing it'll be there the next day. And I don't know of anything that could lessen it, thank you though.
And my period finally started, 2 weeks late, but it started. So I'm just chalking all this up to stress. Thank you guys for advice and all.
