Am I Pregnant after Unprotected Sex Join this Group

Completely Unsure

By September 15, 2011 - 12:26am

It's been approx about 2 weeks since my last period. I had intercourse last night and the guy Ive been seeing is freaking out. Now he didn't ejaculate in me or near me. He didn't use a condom and I am not on any sort of pill. Is there a chance I could be pregnant? He is frightened I am. But with my ex we've had pull out intercourse before and have not gotten pregnant. What are the chances? And if I still feel unsure, when is a good time to take a pregnancy test and IF I were pregnant, I would go to my doctor to get something to prevent any further "growth" inside me?

Hi Moco

The pull out method can work for many but since you had it near your ovulation time then the risk is there but as to what extent - no-one can tell you that exactly.

You can take a pregnancy test in about two weeks or when your period is due. If you are looking to prevent a possible pregnancy as a result of last night, then you can go to the drug store as get Plan B - if you take it within 5 days of unprotected sex, it will prevent pregnancy. Contrary to popular belief, a pregnancy actually takes about 10 days after sex. You can buy emergency contraception without a prescription, just ask your pharmacist.

The pharmacist will explain how to use Plan B or whatever brand you chose (usually it's just taking one pill and that's it) and possible side effects like bleeding or irregular periods for one month.
