Hi GeorginaPrince1714,
We haven't heard from you in a few weeks, and would like an update on your condition. Have you seen a different doctor? Did the doctor change your medication?
I also had PPD, and found a support organization group that provided great help. Maybe there is one in your area if you google for post-partum depression support for your state.

I also wanted to remind you that you are not alone. No matter how hopeless you feel, there always is a resource to help. If you ever feel like you may hurt yourself or your family, please go to an emergency room and check yourself in. They will be able to help you get a handle on your condition when all else fails.

I feel very lucky that I had a supportive spouse to help me through my bout with PPD. Do you have friends or family you can depend on, or call when you need support?
Hope to hear from you soon.

You definitely need to change your doctor immediately. That is my opinion. If he is not listening to what you are saying is happening to you and does not want to consider changing your medication, then run don't walk away from him. My doctor would immediately run tests for any underlying problems and see why the medication is not helping and go from there. If you are having thoughts of suicide, then whatever your doctor is doing is clearly not working. I have severe depression, as well as Bipolar disease, since I was 16. So a good support system and a great doctor or doctors is definitely the key. Do not lose hope and never give up. If you do that you can overcome and control this. That is what finally happened to me. That does not mean that everything is wonderful all the time, but it makes life worth living again. Please feel free to contact me anytime and I will be glad to respond.
