Whenever your kid has diarrhea, call the doctor for advice straightaway. It is dangerous for newborns and infants. A baby may die because of dehydration. The most significant treatment for diarrhea in children is rehydration as it helps replace lost fluid. If you do not see any improvement in 24 hours time immediately see a doctor or if you notice any of the following symptoms :.

If the babies stools containing blood or pus.
If you see black stools.
If the infant has temperature above 102 degrees.
Or you detect signs of dehydration.

Any medicines to treat diarrhea given to adults can be unsafe for children and you must give it only when the doctor advices you to do so. It is a very usual problem that ordinarily resolves on its own. It gets dangerous if the person becomes dehydrated.

As the reason differs the person must stop the medication. For the most part children may need an oral rehydration solution like electrolytes. Please do not hesitate and see a doctor right away and take all the medications proposed.
