Any comments on Chaste Tree Berry?

I read about Chaste Tree Berry as a herbal treatment for PMS. Any positive or negative experience do you have?

Sorry this went under my radar, hence late response. But for anyone else passing through. YES! Chasteberry is also known as agnus castus and seems to have a progsterone-type effect, which women who may have oestrogen dominance may respond well to. There is a growing body of scientific research which provides evidence of effectiveness. However, some women with PMS - or more likely, PMDD (very severe PMS) are sensitive to progesterone so it will have a counterproductive effect in those cases. I use in the second half of my cycle, particularly now that I'm over 40 and heading to perimenopause. Examples of the research literature supporting agnus castus and more information is available on my blog: http://www.pmswarrior.com.

Description

Hello. It's easy to brush off PMS once your period has come and you're feeling 'yourself' again, but from talking to women, I'm aware that many days are wasted in self-doubt, depression, lethargy, physical discomfort and worse. Not to mention the fallout from premenstrual anger, irritability and aggression. The stresses of modern life only aggravate premenstrual symptoms, as we rush around trying to do more and more, and care for ourselves less and less. This is the place to vent, share and learn about PMS. Welcome.
