Trends in Online Health Information
Did you know the average U.S. consumer spends 52 hours a year searching for health information online?
A recent study by Makovsky Health and Kelton revealed some interesting findings including:
-The average American visits the doctor 3 times a year
-The most accessed online health resources include WebMD, Wikipedia and health magazines
-Almost 1/4 of consumers look to social media (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, blogs) to seek out health information
-PCs are still in the lead when searching for health information (but snartphones and tablets are on the rise!)
