Dr. Laris:

One of my favorite times doing hair transplantation was a woman who came in the office. She was in her mid 40s and she had some significant hair loss.

And her big issue, she had been able to hide it somewhat, she wore hats and scarves and creative hairstyling but her daughter was about to be married and her concern was she wasn’t going to be able to cover it and she wanted to do something about her hair.

And when we looked we found that we could do one session of hair transplantation and do it in a specific area that would give her some great coverage and still allow her to be healed and grown in by the time the wedding was going to come about.

And the best part of my job was when I got the call after the wedding saying how great she looked in the pictures and her scalp wasn’t showing through and she was so comfortable that day not worrying about her hair and how pleased she was that it was an easy procedure, scary at first, not knowing if it was going to do what we said it was going to do or she was going to get the results she thought she was going to get, and she actually go the result she wanted and was able to be there for her daughter and be comfortable.

She was worried, very worried about whether it was going to work out and it’s nice to hear when things work out exactly as you tell patients they should work out.
