Dr. Navarro describes if sclerotherapy treatment for varicose vein removal will leave a scar.

Dr. Navarro:
No, it shouldn’t. No, in one in about 15 to 20,000 injections, you can develop what looks like a cigarette burn, a little small ulcer, which will heal in a period of a few weeks, three to four or five weeks. For a period of time, if that happens, you will have a little scar like a cigarette burn, but usually it will disappear in about a year.
