Rebecca explains why she chose to find a cardiologist specializing in women's hearts to obtain a second opinion about her chest pains and dizzy spells.

Rebecca:
It wasn’t until about a year or two after this whole incident began where because of increasing chest pains, palpitations, dizzy spells, nausea, stomachaches, that I really felt that I needed to do something about the symptoms I was experiencing. In fact a dear friend of mine actually told me, she said, “It’s your heart. You have no choice but to figure this out”.

So I did some research online, found the best cardiologist I could find who specializes in women’s heart health and made an appointment. Of course it was going to be two months later but I got a call the next day saying they had a space open so I went down and saw her and the testing began.

It was very important for me to see a cardiologist who specialized in women’s heart health because unfortunately, the doctors I have seen up and to this point didn’t specialize in the sort of symptoms and care that women require. We have different symptoms. So that’s why I had to take extra step and make extra effort in order to find the right doctor.
