Alternative Medicine Complements Conventional Medicine

Conventional medicine used to be the only type of medical care available in our western world. But over time, other ways of treating poor health have begun to make some headway in our society.

For many years, alternative medicine was looked at with doubt. These ways were very different from what we were used to. But that, we began to see, is one of the advantages to alternative medicine and its different approach to medical care.

Reflexology, Chinese medicinal herbs, and acupuncture are now being more and more considered as effective treatments for things when at times, conventional medicine has not been able to bring the answers or bring the cure.

Chiropractic care, macrobiotics, ayurveda medicine and meditation and yoga, have all brought a wealth of old knowledge in new ways to our culture. Our health has most certainly benefitted from this new influx of the health philosophies and treatments of alternative medicine into our western world.

"Every person is unique and should be treated as the unique individual that they are. People should not be treated based on a general diagnosis."
