Vivelle Dot - It May Help You Kiss Hot Flashes Good-Bye
Women experiencing peri-menopause or menopause who have had enough hot flashes to last her the rest of this lifetime might want to consider the Vivelle Dot. Post hysterectomy patients whose hormones have taken a dive are also good candidates for this transdermal estrogen replacement patch.
The clear estrogen patch that’s about the size of a postage stamp sticks to your abdomen twice a week keeping hot flashes, mood swings and even bone loss at bay. Because the patch is absorbed directly into the bloodstream women can achieve effective hormone levels with smaller total doses. And it’s one less pill to take.
While some women claim they can get by with Black Cohosh and soy beans others need something stronger. Women having trouble sleeping at night, experiencing night sweats and hot flashes, and mood swings that interfere with daily life can find relief with the Dot. For many it works within hours of being placed on the skin.
Your gynecologist will be able to tell you if the Vivelle Dot is right for you.

I have been on the vivelle dot (.1 mg) and 200 mg. of Prometrium for one week and have seen no relief from hot flashes and night sweats. When should I see results? I just went off of bio identical because I could not see results. I was on them for seven weeks. I am going crazy from no sleep. Thanks -
Before that I took Activella and was having no symptoms at all for about two years.
