Pulmonary Fibrosis Side Effects: Did You End Up With Other Conditions?

Mine is connected to a mixed connective tissue disease. I have had problem with joint pain my whole life and they turned into, they found a rheumatoid arthritis connection, which no one has ever found and I am 54-years old. And so now, technically my diagnosis is NSIP, which is nonspecific interstitial pneumonitis as opposed to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Every year they are finding more and more things.

NSIP can be stabilized using high doses of steroids, high doses of immunosuppressant drugs, which is probably why I ended up in the hospital couple of weeks ago because my immune system, since they are trying to shut my immune system down because my immune system is what’s attacking my lungs, and the longer we can stabilize me, the longer I have a chance to losing weight, maybe getting a lung transplant – just flat out living longer, but I do have to be careful because of being more susceptible to catching things like bronchitis.
