Dr. Sanderson:

The lungs, as I have said, get the oxygen into our bodies and eliminate carbon dioxide and certainly without adequate oxygenation many bad things can happen. Certainly it can trigger cardiac rhythm, cardiac rhythm disturbances. We don’t think as clearly mentally as our oxygen gets low and so that all of the body metabolism can be impaired when we are not getting adequate oxygenation from the lungs.
