Dr. Dahiya:
What happens is that from day one that you come in and you, and you fill out your application, your workup and all that is going to be done, but after the surgery for at least first year I ask them to come once a month, faithfully.

I may not be doing the most thorough of the examination because I depend on their primary physician, whoever, the internist, but my job of how you are doing, then compliment. If you are not doing, then why you are not doing? Analyze with you; rationalize to you that, “Let’s do this way and you will be much happier.” And that’s where the results come from.

After the first year I usually tell them once every three months is good. Now that being said, I do have some patients who are from out of town and what I do with them is that at least once a month call me, either me, the coordinator, tell them how you are doing, but at least once three months, depending on how far you live, come in in-person and talk to us.
