Diet Adjustment, What Is Best For Diabetic Women? - Dr. Hilkovitz (VIDEO)

January 8, 2009 - 4:42pm 396 reads 0 comments

Dr. Hilkovitz shares the best way for diabetic women to adjust their diets.

Dr. Hilkovitz:
The best way for fixing a diet is to count the carbs, the carbohydrates, especially in diabetes because the level of the blood sugar is directly dependent on how much carbohydrate you eat, and what you try to achieve is the same carbohydrate intake at every meal and the same intake every day. If you don’t do that, your sugars are going to bounce up and down. So you have to get a diet that is based on carbohydrate counting. It’s a good diet because it doesn’t tell you what you can’t eat, it tells you how much to eat of all the different carbohydrates.
