Fitness Trainer, What Is The Price? - Fitness Instructor Scott Keppel (VIDEO)

Fitness instructor Scott Keppel shares how much a fitness trainer costs and what a woman should know before hiring one.

Fitness Instructor Scott Keppel:
If a woman is looking to get a fitness trainer for that initial assessment, oftentimes they’ll do that initial assessment for free, not every time, but then thereafter, if they want someone to help keep them accountable. The rates obviously are going to vary depending on where they live in the States.

Individuals will do half an hour, 45 minutes or one-hour session. Dependent on that, a half an hour session may range anywhere from $30 to $50 for half hour. An hour session may range anywhere from $60 to $90 for that hour. What I would recommend a woman to do is watch a trainer if she can. See how his or her clients are doing, talk to their clients. What do they say about the trainer? Look at their certification, do they have one?

There are several different certifications out there. Some people think one is better than the other. I personally think as long as they have one, they’ve done the work or they have a bachelor’s or master’s degree because I have seen several people who have 10 years of studying and they are not as good as the trainer who has four years of studying.

So what I would recommend that woman to do is talk to that trainer’s clients, see what they say, have they achieved the same goals that she is looking for, because that trainer may be great for training individuals to do, say a body building or figure fitness show, but maybe they are not really good with women who are pregnant.

Maybe they are not really good with post-menopause women but they are excellent with teenagers. So find out what your goals are and find the trainer that you see has helped individuals achieve the goal you are looking for.
