Heart Arrhythmia, How Can A Woman Get The Best Care For It? - Dr. Su (VIDEO)

February 24, 2009 - 1:01pm 920 reads 0 comments

Dr. Su shares how a woman can ensure she receives the best care for her heart arrhythmia.

Dr. Su:
I think once you are diagnosed that you are aware of the abnormal heart rhythm, the most important thing is that someone who understands electrical system of the heart is able to, number one, capture the abnormal heart rhythm wherever it happens so that what we can determine is something life-threatening, not life-threatening. And be able to be reassured that this is not something that is going to be recurring or something that’s going to be debilitating to the day-to-day life.

I think sometimes if you don’t like the first answer, you’re not reassured, simply seek another doctor’s opinion because one of the things we have to be aware of is that, you know, medicines are ever-advancing. There are still people that I treat every day that have told me that they've seen a doctor for the past ten years and that basically just being told that, "Oh, just take the pill; this is all we can do."
