Deanna Carlson:
Triglycerides are essential to reduce in our diet and we could do that by using Omega-3 foods. Triglycerides cause inflammation in our vessels, which can lead to a heart attack or a stroke. So we want to include lots Omega-3 foods in our diet.

You can also take them with a supplement, that’s great as well, but Omega-3 foods would be like foxy. Have a little foxy to the top of your grain cereal, nuts and seeds like pecans, almonds, peanuts, ... hazelnuts, walnuts, stay away from maccadamia nuts and stay away from cashews.

Also (add) leafy green vegetables, fruits and vegetables, broccoli, kale, beans, beans are great and instead of using meat, sometimes use some beans as your protein instead. Make some nice bean soup with low salt. Those are Omega-3 products and those are essential for good heart health.
