VIDEO: Dr. Abrams - Eating Mushrooms, Can This Replace Chemotherapy Treatment?

July 10, 2009 - 9:59am 212 reads 0 comments

Dr. Abrams explains if consuming mushrooms can be a chemotherapy replacement for cancer patients.

Dr. Abrams:
So, mushrooms I don’t think should not replace chemotherapy. I think the evidence of mushrooms have a direct anti-cancer effect is weak. I think the evidence that mushrooms are beneficial in conjunction with chemotherapy is stronger.

I think mushrooms probably work by enhancing the immune system in the fight against cancer and are probably best given in association with conventional cancer therapy.
