Dr. Matava:
That sort of depends upon the surgeon who does the surgery. A lot of surgeons, including myself, have gone away from using a post-operative brace because there’s no good data in the orthopedic literature that suggests that those women who do wear a brace after their ACL surgery do any better than those who do not.
