VIDEO: Dr. Oberg - Where Are Helpful Internet Sites On Type 2 Diabetes?

January 20, 2009 - 1:51pm 321 reads 0 comments

Dr. Oberg shares some helpful informational internet sites on type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Oberg:
It can be a challenging thing. There’s a ton of information available on the internet, some of it biased, some of it reputable. Certainly most of the websites linked with medical schools or with professional associations such as linked with the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, would be good starting places for women to find information.

About Dr. Oberg, M.D., M.P.H.:
Dr. Erica Oberg, who completed her doctorate and residency at Bastyr University in 2003 and holds an MPH degree in Health Services from the University of Washington, combines the latest scientific research with the timeless wisdom of our bodies and spirits.

Specializing in preventative and naturopathic medicine, whether you are at the end of your rope, seeking optimal health, wanting to prevent future disease, or just get over a cold more quickly, you will benefit from Dr. Oberg’s approach.

In addition to clinical medicine, Dr. Oberg teaches medical students at Bastyr University, writes a regular article on prevention for practicing doctors, and is conducting 2 research studies at UW that aim to bring more wellness to primary care medicine. She is on the Board of Directors of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, chairs the Prevention Expert Committee for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and is a member of the American Public Health Association, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association. When not practicing, you can find her in the garden or kayaking in Puget Sound.
