VIDEO: Dr. Wilson - What Pregnancy Dietary Supplements Do You Recommend?

October 9, 2008 - 11:38am 309 reads comments

Dr. Wilson shares what pregnancy dietary supplements she recommends for women.

Dr. Wilson:
I recommend to take a multivitamin first of all. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a prenatal vitamin; it can just be a really high quality multivitamin, and you want to make sure that it’s high in folic acid. If you have a history of anemia or low iron, then make sure that that multivitamin includes iron, and then from there I would recommend fish oil and that would be the highest quality fish oil product that you can get.

And I also recommend acidophilus oftentimes for women to take on regular basis prior to and during pregnancy.
