Dr. Wright:
Good afternoon, I am Dr. Barbara Wright. I am a clinical psychologist in private practice in Laguna Beach. I began my career as a dancer and speech therapist, went on to get a Ph.D. in psychology, and have spent the last 30 years working in physical medicine as well as psychological medicine and found the two work very well together in finding meaningful restoration of the mind, body, and spirit connection.
I am working in pain management and in cooperation with physicians in empowering women and men to maximize their recovery as they move on into health.
Anyone in isolation needs to take a breath, take a pause, and look around their environment and find someone with whom they can have a moment of trust and confidence and begin moving out of isolation. All patients, especially thyroid patients who are subject to mood swings and feeling lonely, need to reach out.
