Deborah Kesten:
Heart disease reversal diet was discovered probably about 15 years ago, and it is a comprehensive lifestyle program based on lifestyle changes alone without drugs or surgery. And what Dr. Dean Ornish and Dr. Larry Scherwitz and I discovered as the nutritionists on this program was that if you consume a no-fat added, no fat-added, plant-based diet of fruits and veggies and whole grains such as millet, buckwheat, brown rice, bulgar, or whole wheat and also legumes, meaning beans and peas, and just kind of a smidgen, a sampling, of some non-fat yogurt or non-fat dairy that you can actually halt and reverse heart disease and reverse the plaque built up in arteries.
