Dr. Daenell explains how a woman can find a trusted naturopathic doctor in her area.
You know, a lot of people will say that they are a naturopathic doctor, and some of them have gone to school for 10 years, and some have never walked through the doors of a school. It's very difficult for the consumer to decide what kind of practitioner is right for them.
You could access a national website, www.naturopathic.org, and you will find only educated, in-residents, licensable, naturopathic doctors on that website for every state. Currently 15 states, two territories, and the District of Columbia do license our profession, meaning all the rest of the states, it’s hard to say what you’re going to get when you look under "naturopathic" in the Yellow Pages.
