Put on a Condom if You’re Gonna Have Sex
Since we're aware of the fact that young people have sexual intercourse and sometimes engage in oral sex, it might be a good idea to educate them as much as possible and tell them to use a condom at all times.
Now, there may be arguments that by talking to them about condom usage somehow condones or encourages sex but rest assured, young people do not need a reason to engage in sex. The act and mere interest in sex seems to be something that in inherent in our young people. They are curious and want to explore as many things as possible in their life as they grow and learn.
Giving our young people knowledge and information about sex is not giving them the go ahead to engage, but it is giving them important facts about what the consequences are when they do engage in sex. For example: there is the risk of pregnancy and a few diseases to consider. These two different issues can affect a young person’s life forever. Perhaps giving them the pros and cons of both sides will help them make the right decision. Hopefully, that decision is to not have sex but if they do decide to have sex the goal is to be safe.
