Natural Doctors Don’t Get Sick

May 29, 2009 - 3:59pm 400 reads 0 comments

For the last couple of days I have been dealing with a sinus infection. It has been a real pain in the nose (smile). Of course, whenever I have sinus or post nasal drip into my throat, you can hear it in my voice. It is embarrassing to be a natural, health and wellness doctor and to be sick right?

I use to be subconscious about getting sick or canceling appointments thinking this was a reflection of my ability to get others well.

True health, in my opinion, is the ability to be aware of the way your body feels and when it doesn’t feel right, make the appropriate changes. It is an important part of the healing process to listen to your intuition about how you are feeling.

This is true for any disease process from sinus infections to changes in your menstrual cycles to diabetes or cancer. In hind sight, patients usually notice changes in the way they feel physically or mentally and these are their symptoms.

This is the wake up for each of us. When you first notice the symptoms, that is the time to act. The longer you ignore the problem the more your disease takes hold of your body and the more work and energy is required to get you back to a healthy state.
