Uneventful Sunday

August 10, 2009 - 1:00pm 174 reads 0 comments

Today I spent much of the day sleeping. I haven’t been getting very much quality sleep lately. I’m back to my old habit of falling asleep at the computer. I keep waking up with the computer on my lap and my bed propped up.

Sometimes the reading light is even on above my head. I can guarantee that I am not getting quality sleep. After this entry I am going to put myself on computer probation after midnight. I will have to lock the computer away somewhere that I can’t reach it during the middle of the night.

Today was a pretty uneventful day. I dosed in and out of sleep all day. Erika came by to visit at night and we ordered dinner from Barros which now has become the official pizza place for CTCA. Z Pizza was the official pizza place for St. Joes. Now I just need to find a dinner place that is a little healthier that we can order from.

I’m actually starting to get a little sick of pizza. In fact, my appetite has been back to normal over the past week. I’ve actually started to crave food again! Unfortunately, I’m starting to get backed up again from the narcotics and just sitting here in bed. The nurses started giving me Lactulose and MiraLAX®, which are basically hardcore constipation remedies.

I believe I am supposed to start feeling better and able to breathe clearly through my chest. Earlier they took some X-rays and the doctor said it came back fine and the chest was inflating back to normal. As I sit here right now I feel like I still can’t get a good breathe fresh air. I am supposed to be able to get the chest tube taken out, possibly Monday, if my lung still looks good.

Let’s hope for good news Monday!
