Hi, Jennifer!

This is interesting. I've not had personal experience with Chinese medicine, and I'm wondering if this type of treatment is ever covered by insurance.... do you know?

Also, how effective is this kind of treatment/therapy for people with cancer/

Thanks!

Hi Kristin - Acupuncture is sometimes covered by insurance. Often it depends on which state you live in and your personal insurance plan.

Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can be very helpful as an adjunct therapy to other Cancer treatments. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)
helps the body to heal,is great with the side effects of Chemotherapy and is wonderful for stress relief.

Thanks for the questions

Thanks for the post Jennifer. About a month ago, I tried acupuncture and Chinese herbs (tea form) for the first time and found that it did offer some relief from allergies. I wouldn't say that my symptoms were completely eliminated but fatigue during allergy season was a major issue for me and that hasn't been the case this year. I even waited until we were about half way into the season to see if I would notice a difference.

For what conditions have you found acupuncture most effective?

Hi Tina - I'm glad to hear TCM was helpful to you. Acupuncture and herbs can be great for allergies.

Amazingly both Acupuncture can be very effective for many disorders. Some of the conditions I treat most commonly are...
Various types of Acute and Chronic pains, Sciatica, muscle and joint pain etc.
Personally I do a lot of work with women's issues such as fertility, PMS, and other Gynecological concerns.
I've also had success with Digestive disorders,Headaches,Insomnia and Anxiety to name a few more.

Thanks for the question
