I just had "Her Option" cryo ablation of my endometrial lining four days ago for heavy bleeding, cramps, anemia with my periods. I'd like to know if there are any other ladies out there who have had this procedure and their experience. Didi it work for you? Did it help with PMS too?

Hi, after reading everyone's opinions I'm beginning to wonder did I make the right choice. I had the Her Option procedure done April 8, 2010 and went for my two week follow-up today. My Dr. says everything looks good. After my procedure I wasn't in alot of pain just drowsy frm all the meds. I had a watery/bloody discharge the day of only. Since then I've just been having the watery discharge and it has began to decrease. I'm scared but also anxious to see what my first menstrual cycle will be like which is actually due today or at any given time. I have experienced a few mild cramps that I normally get when its time but haven't seen anything yet.....So I guess I'm just WAITING....I do hope my procedure was very successful.

I was asking myself the same question but now nearly 8 months later am SO GLAD I did it! Just beware - your first menstral cycle after will be heavy. Nobody really warned me and I was a little freaked out to be honest with you. It only lasted a couple of days - but felt like a week's worth! Today, my flow is next to nothing. So give it some time, I sure hope you get the results you were looking for.

I do believe the Drs downgrade and sugarcoat the amount of pain we were to have during and after the procedure because I know most of us would have not done this. I feel slightly betrayed.

Even though this is called a "procedure" and not surgery, my body is sure as heck reacting like it had surgery. The recovery time is not even close to what was stated. It's been a week now and I'm still crampy and I'm leaking so much fluid out of an overnight pad! I feel like I'm wearing a diaper and this could last over a month? Ugh!

Are any of you that just had it done still on pain killers? If I don't take the percocet at least one a day I'm buckled over! And I'm a person that can take pain and doesn't like to take meds!

Hugs to all!
Sharon

i ut had my done on Monoday . they said i should be able to go back to normal activity the next day. Felt great all day tuesday, went out driving did yard work etc. by last nite i was in tears with the pain. today it wasnt as bad but have a hard time totally strigthening up , have this pulling tight pain. called dr and now they tell me this is normal for some, do nothing the next 24 to 48 hrs and start little by little with normal activity. also they advertise no dilation during procedure and painless, liars.. the first 10 minutes were bad the last 20 i felt nothing. was neseas all day monday. if i dont get better by friday have to go back in..better today than yesturday so i shouod be okay.....also if this works it would so be worth it but i just wish they would have told me everything instead of tying to sugarcoat it. i had a valium an hour before and a vial of anesthetic was given a half hour before procedure..during the first ten minutes the pain was so bad ,i tensed up so much that the speculum came out twice. glad its over and hopefully it will be successful..

i had the nova sure done last year & it helped to slow the periods down but it made them longer (9-14 days), but that was also due to the fact that i had 2 fibroids & 1 cyst on my cervix.I just had the her option(cryoblation done 6 days ago & my doc. said this should take care of my problem, good luck 7 wish u a speedy recovery & the desired results u r hoping for.

Yikes! That only cut a few days off your period! Eek! I would hardly say that is worth all the trouble! :/

I would rate the whole exp. a 5 out of 10...but I will write back in June and see if things improved more,

Hi, I had this done in October and my periods have slowed down greatly. The last couple were only 3 days long with no heavy clotting! Even though it has not stopped permanently, I've considered it a success!

That is great news to hear that your period has lightened! I really hope I end up a sucessful story as well!

What was your period like prior to heroption and what was your recovery time period like?
