According to the LA Fitness Website, the fitness chain has been “Providing a superior fitness experience since 1984.” They now have 378 clubs across North America and say they are still growing.
The company says, “Our strong and successful growth stems from our commitment to understanding and meeting the distinct needs of each community we serve. With our wide range of amenities and a highly trained staff, we can provide fun and effective workout options to family members of all ages and interests.”
Those amenities include “state-of-the-art equipment and cardio area, indoor heated lap pool, whirlpool spa and saunas, locker facilities.” Members also have access to their group exercise classes which include “Yoga, Cycling, Mat Pilates, Kickbox Cardio and Aqua Aerobics.”
Additional services, some of which require a fee include Personal Training, Kids Klub Babysitting, Juice Bar, as well as racquetball and basketball tournaments and leagues. Some of their clubs are even open 24 hours a day, to help you fit in a workout at any time.
Right now, advertised on their website are weekly memberships for $9.95. Both the first and second week dues are required upfront for a total initial price of $19.90 plus tax. This price is not applicable in New York or Canada, as stated on their website. It also does not include amenities such as racquetball, Kids Klub, Personal Training, and Juice Bar.
Other membership specials are available by visiting a local club in your area. According to the LA Fitness Website, “Dues paying membership may be canceled with written notice in accordance with the terms of the membership agreement.”
