Sally Field Shares What Went Through Her Mind When Diagnosed With Osteoporosis (VIDEO)

Sally Field:

Well, I sort of knew it was coming. We had been watching it because I am such a prime candidate to get osteoporosis in that I am female, and that I am over 50, and Caucasian, and small, and I have it in my family history.

So we sort of, my doctor kind of prepared me, but I think what runs through your head, at least then because I think we have changed some of the stereotypical ideas of what osteoporosis looks like. In my mind, it was a little old, bent over, gray-haired grandmother, you know, who is feeble and fragile, and that’s who gets osteoporosis and I know that isn’t true. I know that osteoporosis looks like this.
