Chemo doesn’t work for me anymore because when the disease recurs, chemotherapy that you were given before, the disease is now resistant to those treatments so it comes back as a more virulent strain of the old disease.

So when chemo is not working, it is - you’re basically left to experimental drugs or new therapies to try to either extend your life or give you better quality of life.
