Yes, I was finished with my chemo. We had come back, the day she had her surgery, we had come back from a trip to Hawaii. That was our first trip after I was finished with the chemo, and I was told that I was clear. I had a clear scan.. When we came back, my son picked us up at the airport, and I knew she was having this preventive mastectomies and removal of her ovaries at 9 o’clock that morning. He picked us up at the airport at 5 o’clock, and I said, “Well, how is Sherry?” And he said, “Well, she is still in surgery,” or something. So I knew right away something was wrong, and that’s when they found her
cancer.
