Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center
1111 East McDowell Rd, Phoenix
Do you have problems with veins in your legs? Poor circulation in your legs, pregnancy, and heredity can all lead to varicose veins. Dr. Charles Raker, an Interventional Radiologist at Banner Good Samaritan will speak about the causes and treatments for venous conditions during a “Lunch and Learn” on Friday, Aug. 22,
from noon to 1 p.m. in the Sandstone Conference Room North.
In some cases large varicose veins could be the sign of a serious venous reflux condition and may lead to serious venous vascular disease and venous ulcerations. In many cases individuals may experience associated pain, swelling or bulging varicose veins. Others may just be looking for a solution to get rid of tiny spider veins in order to feel better about wearing shorts in our warm climate.
Whatever the case for you, learn more about the veins in your legs, what causes them to be abnormal, and if
you have reason to be concerned. Also, learn about new technology and techniques that Banner Good Samaritan’s Interventional Radiologists are using to treat both
cosmetic and more serious vein issues.
This lecture is free and no reservation is necessary. Drinks and dessert will be served, feel free to bring a lunch.
