There is an estimated 50 million Americans with Thyroid disease. A majority of them, are suspected to be undiagnosed!
Its a simple prick of the finger blood test!
So many people I know have never had their hormones checked.
I was wondering, when you go to the Dr., how many of them offer to check your Thyroid? How many of you have asked?
Do you think it should be a yearly check? Like our PAP checks? In a 'prevention' sort of taste?
I went years sick, without one Dr. simply checking my Thyroid levels. Ultimately, losing the whole gland.
I know I'm not the only one.
The symptoms of Thyroid disease can be subtle or extreme.
It effects our moods, energy, fertility, heart, eyes, joints...
The list is long! And going undiagnosed can lead to worsening health problems.
I think its very sad, when I hear these statistics. Many people are feeling like garbage on a daily basis, and a simple boost with hormone could benefit their lives tremendously.
