There's a fun quiz about snacking in this month's online issue of Women's Health magazine that isn't as easy as it seems at first glance.
Basically, they show you pictures of a 24 different snacks and see if you can pick out the picture that represents 100 calories' worth of each snack. When
you click on your choice, you get the answer and a link to the next snack item.
The snack items are widely varied, including pretzels, string cheese, tomatoes with feta, shrimp and cocktail sauce, peanut M&M's, edamame, carrots and hummus, Hershey's Kisses, turkey jerky, popcorn, strawberries and Fat Free Cool Whip, and more.
Yeah, I see you nodding. You think it'll be a slam dunk, don't you? So did I, and I missed 3 out of the 24. And what was most interesting to me is that in the 3 I got wrong, in every case I could have eaten MORE of that snack than I thought.
