I am a 20 year old female. I was diagnosed with HPV back in September after an abnormal PAP smear in august. I have stage 1 displaysia, but I have never had a breakout. They didn't tell me which strain I was infected with and I have no idea if it goes away.. I was under the impression that I will have this for the rest of my life, but I've seen so much contradictory information on the internet. All they told me was that I was HPV positive and to come back in another year to see if they need to do a biopsy on me... I'm just wondering if I was given the right information or if there is anything else I should be doing. Id like to know what the chances are of it going away, and Ive been trying to find good, reliable information on safe oral sex for females with HPV, something I have not been able to find.
Also... I know this isn't really important, but Ive felt so filthy and disgusting since this started... my ex freaked out on me and yelled at me when I told him, another called me a filthy whore... And I just want to stop feeling like one..
