Hi,
I was recently diagnosed with poly cystic ovary syndrome. I have a few cysts in each ovary as detected by a pelvic ultrasound.
Despite this, I believe that I am ovulating regularly. My cycle is regular (around 31 days) with regular periods. I have been tracking my ovulation with a basal thermometer and have detected a clear thermal shift (over 1 degree F vaginally) each month after ovulation, which typically occurs around day 19 for me.
My PCOS symptoms include cramping and pain (probably as cysts pop) on occasion throughout the month. I may also have a bit of endometriosis as I often have about 48 hours of on and off spotting before my period actually starts.
I'm really scared about what this all means for my fertility. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 8 months now. I know that we're technically not at an "infertility" diagnosis yet, but these diagnoses have me really nervous. We have timed sex perfectly for 7 out of our 8 months trying, which makes me think that we should have been pregnant by now if everything was okay.
